Giving Back in Japan
Volunteer Activity in the Quake and Tsunami-hit Area
In June 2011, C&W Japan Office sponsored six employees who volunteered to travel to the area devastated by the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami to help dig out and clean up a temple site which suffered catastrophic damage.
C&W Japan Office has participated since 2009 in the ‘Ecocap Movement’, which promotes recycling through the voluntary separation and collection of plastic bottle caps.
This movement sells the collected caps to recycling companies in order to reduce CO2 emission as well as to buy vaccines for children around the world.
